Gastroenterology's Annual DDW® Abstract Supplement Goes Green!
With this year's May issue of Gastroenterology, you will receive a CD-ROM supplement containing all AGA Institute, AASLD, and SSAT abstracts from this year's upcoming Digestive Disease Week (DDW). The CD-ROM replaces the bulky print supplement of years past, making it highly portable and environmentally friendly. The CD-ROM supplement is also easier to use than the print version—it is fully searchable by topic and author, and each abstract includes a full citation. The supplement also includes the DDW program, instantly linking you to all abstracts presented in any given session.

In Memoriam

Gastroenterology Publishes Special Issue on End-Stage Liver Disease
The editors of Gastroenterology are pleased to announce the publication of this year's highly anticipated special 13th issue. Published each May, the 13th issue is devoted to a particular topic of broad interest that spans basic science, translational medicine, clinical investigation, and population science. This year's special issue, entitled "End-Stage Liver Disease: Pathophysiology, Diagnosis, and Management", focuses on one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in the United States. New Mandate for NIH-Funded Manuscripts
The AGA Institute journals, Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, along with their publisher, Elsevier, will deposit accepted NIH-funded manuscripts on the behalf of authors, thus relieving them of the burden to comply with this new policy. Read more.

Call for Papers on Clinical Trials
Recognizing that clinical trials generally have the greatest impact of all studies on clinical practice, Editor Anil K. Rustgi, MD, and his associate editors strongly encourage authors to submit to Gastroenterology for consideration their manuscripts on clinical trials. Read more.

New Submission Policies for AGA Institute Journals
Starting January 1, 2008, authors of manuscripts describing clinical trials will be required to register their trials in a publicly accessible database. Additionally, authors of meta-analyses will be required to follow the HuGENet guidelines. To read the full details of each policy, please read the attached article.
