Advances in Imaging and Technology of Pre-Invasive Neoplasia: The Big (and Small) Picture

Michael B. WallaceCorresponding Author Informationemail address

published online 24 September 2009.

In 2003, the American Gastroenterological Association established a new group focused on Imaging and Advanced Technology (IAT), which developed new programs for Digestive Disease Week, organized national seminars, and more recently oversaw IAT editorial activities for our journal Gastroenterology. It has been my privilege to serve as Vice Chair, Chair, Section Editor, and most recently Associate Editor of the IAT section for the AGA and Gastroenterology during this time. I will be stepping down in 2010 to take on other new roles and wish to take this opportunity to recap the major advances in IAT, particularly imaging of early neoplasia via endoscopy.
